Kwik Cricket is a starter game, a fun game but with a serious theme
of participation to allow boys and girls from the ages 8-11 to play in a
competitive friendly environment.  Played on club outfields over
Sunday mornings in June and July teams play each other twice and
have 2 games each Sunday.

Competition Rules

  • All teams to use kwik equipment (no pads etc)

  • teams to consist of 8 a side

  • Pitch length 18 yards

  • Pitches on club outfields

  • Boundaries to suit physical area available

  • Younger/smaller participants to bowl from batters crease or
    nearer to batter if need be (NO, no balls in this game)

  • Batting team to bat in pairs for 2 complete overs

  • Start team total with 100 runs

  • Each of fielding team to bowl one over (over-arm)

  • Wides not to be called unless the batter stands no
    chance of moving to strike the ball

  • Batters change ends at the fall of a wicket and at end of
    first over

  • Score runs as normal cricket.  Deduct 6 runs a fall of
    each wicket from team total

  • The game is for boys and girls

  • No player to field nearer than 11 yards from the batter.
    the wicketkeeper, must not be nearer than 5 yards to
    the wicket and may wear gloves

  • All players should be at primary school (Year 6 and above)

  • Boys selected for NCB Under 11 Representative squad
    will not be eligible to participate in this competition.
