The Nottinghamshire Cricket
Board,, Sports Centre or their sponsors will not be
responsible or liable for any damage, injury or loss
whatsoever occurring to any player, official or
spectator, either participating or otherwise during
these matches. |
|
|
|
It is understood that if
clubs have paid their insurance premiums to the ECB or
otherwise, their players are covered. However, it
is recommended that team manager's check with their club
Secretary or their individual insurance. |
|
|
|
It is required that all
clubs be fully paid up members of the Notts CB.
There is an entry fee of £40.00 per team. |
|
|
|
Teams will provide their own
equipment. Non-marking shoes will be worn plus the
usual cricket kit. |
|
|
|
Team organisers will be on
hand when their team is playing to assist the scorer
with batting order and player's names. |
|
|
|
In the interest of safety
there will be a restriction for close fielders.
This area will be marked in line and forward of the
popping crease for approx. 10 years on both the on and
off sides. A fielder will be allowed to move into
the restricted area once the ball has been played.
Batters and wicketkeepers WILL wear protective helmets
at all times. NO EXCEPTIONS apply. |

Teams shall consist of 6
players per side. |
|
|
|
The age limit will be Under
13 on 1st September prior to the competition. |
|
|
|
Matches shall consist of 8 x
6 ball overs per side. No bowler may bowl more
than 3 overs. |
|
|
|
If a ball is not bowled onto
the mat at the batters end the umpire will call penalty
ball and the ball will become dead. A penalty of 2
runs shall be incurred by the fielding side and added to
the extras of the batting side. An extra ball will
be bowled. |
|
|
|
In the event of a team
losing 5 wickets within the permitted overs the last man
shall continue batting with the 5th man out remaining at
the wicket as a runner. The last not out batter
shall be given out if the non-striker running with him
is out. |
|
|
|
A batter shall be caught by
a fielder after the ball has hit the ceiling or netter
(but not lodged) or any wall except directly from the
boundary wall, provided the ball has not touched the
floor. No runs shall be scored when a batter is
out caught. |
|
|
|
If a ball shall lodge in any
netting, ledge or other obstruction, then it shall be
deemed a 'dead ball' but runs applicable to such a
stroke shall be added to the score. |
|
|
|
A ball struck to hit the
boundary wall behind the bowler without touching the
floor or any other wall or ceiling shall count 6 runs.
If however the ball touches the floor but does not touch
any of the other walls or the ceiling and hits the
boundary wall then it shall count as 4 runs. |
|
|
|
A ball struck to hit the
ceiling or one or more of the side or back walls shall
county 1 run, even if the ball subsequently hits the
boundary wall. 2 additional runs will be scored if
the batter completes a run. (if the ball struck to hit
the ceiling or side or back wall and a batter is then
run out, one run shall be scored. |
|
|
|
2 runs shall be scored if
the striker plays the ball and it does not hit a wall or
the ceiling direct and the batter completes a run. |
|
|
|
A bye, which hits a wall,
shall count as 2 byes. A leg by, which hits a
wall, shall count 1 leg bye. If the batter
completes a run, 2 additional byes or leg byes shall be
scored. In the even of 4 byes being scored the
batters shall remain at the end to which they have run. |
|
|
|
2 byes or leg byes shall be
scored if the batters complete a run without the ball
hitting a wall. |
|
|
|
A wide or no ball shall
count as one run, if the ball hits a wall 2 wides or not
balls shall be scored. Additionally in each case,
if the batters complete a run, 2 further wides or no
balls shall be scored. An extra ball will be
bowled. |
|
|
|
An overthrow hitting any
wall shall count as 1 run to the batter or as byes, leg
by, wides or no balls (or 4 if the boundary wall is
hit). |
|
|
|
The umpires shall strictly
adhere to the laws relating to wides. |
|
|
|
Batters will retire when
they have scored 25 runs. They will be permitted
to return in order of retirement when the other batters
have completed their innings. |
|
|
|
Clubs and officials are
reminded that the umpires decision on any matters not
covered in these rules or laws which may occur in this
style of cricket must be accepted and binding in all
concerned. |
