The Perfect Pathway for the Umpires & Scorers of the future!
Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, Notts ACO and the Russ Evans Foundation are excited to announce the return of the Notts Young Cricket Officials Programme.
Our Young Cricket Officials Programme will give our young officials the best training possible and utilises key partners and club mentors to support them as they begin their journey as a qualified official.
The initial one-day course will be tutored by Simon Cooper, Senior Nottinghamshire Premier League Umpire, and Amy Coyne, Bassetlaw & District Cricket League & East Midlands Women's Cricket League Umpire.
WHO’S IT FOR?
Anyone aged between 14 and 18 years old who would like to learn more about Umpiring and Scoring and is keen to volunteer some of their time back in their local cricket club or school.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
In Year 1: They will learn the basics of being an umpire, including the major laws, setting up the game, signals, game management and how to score using the Play Cricket Scorer App and Countdown Cricket App.
In Year 2: They will receive further training, support and officiating opportunities, potentially leading to a Stage 1 or Stage 2 officiating qualification.

Please note that payment will not be taken as part of the sign up and will be invoiced separately. Course costs will be reimbursed in full upon the completion of any officiating qualification during Step 2 of the programme.
