It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the death of Phil Filipowicz of Whatton & Aslockton CC on Monday after a long illness.

He joined the club in 1987 and played for several teams until hanging up his boots in 2004. He remained at the core of the club, helping to coach junior players and acting as secretary until last year and he will be greatly missed by all at the club.

His funeral will be held at Wilford Hill Cemetary, Nottingham on Thursday the 28th January at 2pm.
