Nottinghamshire Recreational Cricket

Due to popular demand applications for the NatWest U19 Club T20 will run in to the New Year allowing Nottinghamshire clubs hoping to follow in the footsteps of the winners of the second edition, Plumtree, extra time to apply for next year's competition.

A total of 450 teams took part in the 2015 version with lapsed players returning to the game to enjoy the carnival atmosphere of T20 cricket.

Clubs that do not have enough players to make up the eight-man teams can merge with other sides in the area, as the entry is not related to any individual club and you are entered as a separate entity.

With 97% of ‘at risk’ players more likely to continue in the game this year and two in three clubs seeing a return in former players, the statistics outline the success over the past year.

A further 75% of players became ‘volunteers’ to help set up matches and the participating clubs this year can expect:

• Free training for volunteers
• Access to discounted T20 kit
• Support package from ECB – including Activation Pack and player statistics
• Pink U19 T20 balls
• 4-6 U19 T20 fixtures, leading to a county finals day

The extended deadline for clubs is January 15 and applications/registration of interest should be sent to josh.scully@nottsccc.co.uk.
