Two of the Nottinghamshire Academy’s brightest stars will represent the Midlands in this year’s Under 17s Super 4 Competition that begins in Loughborough tomorrow.
Nick Kimber, an all-rounder for the U16s and Jordan Cook, an off-spinning all-rounder from the U17s have both been selected after stellar summers.
Both players have made their Academy debuts this summer, with Cook the leading wicket taker for the side in the Nottinghamshire Premier League.
“Jordan and Nick have both progressed their games throughout the winter and over the summer and have produced good performances for the Academy and U17s,” said Elite Pathway Manager Matt Wood.
“The Young Lions Super 4s will be a great experience for both of them to test themselves against the best U17 cricketers in the country.”
The Midlands will begin their campaign against South West tomorrow, before taking on the North and London & East sides on Wednesday and Friday respectively.
That will be followed by a couple of T20 matches on the Friday, one against the North, whilst the second opponent will be the winners/losers if the other T20 played that day.
