Courses In The New Year
Trent Bridge will be the host to a number of specialist courses starting in the New Year for girls who want to begin their cricketing education in a softball programme and cricketers across the county who wish to learn more about safeguarding and first aid.
An eight-week softball programme running from Saturday 30 January in Hadlee Hall encourages girls to take up the sport in a fun and social environment.
The training takes place at the ground from 11am to 1pm every week and costs £5 per session or £30 for the whole programme. To book on to the programme contact Jack Arnold through jack.arnold@nottsccc.co.uk.
Elsewhere, at the end of January and beginning of February the Long Room at Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club is the venue for crucial courses for welfare officers across the county.
On Tuesday 19 January from 6:30pm – 9:30pm there will be a safeguarding and protecting children course for £20 per person.
That is followed by a SafeHands course for new welfare officers on Wednesday 27 January and an emergency first aid course on Tuesday 9 February with the times and prices the same as the first course.
