The
Nottinghamshire Cricket Board (NCB) is the governing and
representative body of ALL cricket
within the county. The Board’s
aim is to the promote the game of cricket at all levels through
partnerships of the professional and recreational cricketing bodies,
and other appropriate
agencies within the County. |

The Board exists to
help, advise and assist Nottinghamshire cricketers and their clubs
with
their day to day requirements. Around 200 clubs, large and
small, north and south,
old and new are affiliated to the Board. |

Member Clubs of the
Board benefit from the following advantages: |

Each club receives a
copy of the
Handbook (the
Nottinghamshire Cricket Annual) packed
full of useful information of
all kinds for Club Secretaries. |

Regular
newsletters throughout the year with up-to-date
information on courses, events,
grant opportunities and other
general cricketing topics. |

3 |
Assistance with
Fixture Making. Member clubs are invited to submit their vacant
fixture dates to the NCB for compilation into the “Fixture booklet”
that is circulated
to all member clubs to assist in completion of
their fixture lists.
The
Emergency
Fixture Bureau for clubs who have to fulfil a fixture,
at short notice,
following the “cry-off” by their opposition. |

Invitations
to specialist courses including those run for groundsmen, coaches,
Umpires and Scorers, etc. |

|
5 |
Advice on a wide range of cricket opportunities including grant aid
opportunities from the
local Cricket Board Grant Aid Office, Mr D Tighe. |

6 |
Automatic affiliation
to the
England and Wales Cricket Board
(ECB), the national
governing body, “promoting cricket from the
playground to the test arena”.
ECB members have exclusive access to
preferential insurance policies
and rates specially tailored for
cricket clubs. |

7 |
Entry to the
junior and senior cricket
competitions organised by the NCB,
including indoor winter
competitions. The Board also organises the top
recreational cricket
league,
the
Nottinghamshire Cricket Board Premier League. |

County Representative matches are arranged for
women and girls,
juniors and
seniors
and for people with
disabilities. |

clubs will only be accepted into membership on receipt of the
applicable subscription fee. Subscriptions set each year by
the Annual General Meeting in
January are payable by 1 April each
year. |
